A1 Assignment - WPBD - West Point Bridge Designer
Overview
Each individual on a team will develop a different bridge design in WPBD within the overall constraints. Each will create a blog post about their design.
Details
- Work within the constraints for WPBD defined below to develop a "safe" bridge with the lowest possible cost spanning the canyon.
- We recommend, but do NOT require that each team member develop a different type of bridge.
- Create a Post within your team's blog with the following characteristics
- Post name is "A1 -YOURLASTNAME" where you put your last name instead of YOURLASTNAME
- The page contains
- A statement of your design goals - why your bridge is the shape it is
- an image of the design - a 2D image of the design from the "drawing board view"
- There are many ways to do this. An easy one is to do a "screen capture", save it as a file, and then use the image insertion tool in Blogger to put it into your blog.
- an image of the truck in the middle of the bridge
- an image of the "Load test Results" (table is OK)
- Comes from "Report" menu
- A statement of how your bridge changed during design
- Bridge Cost - with an estimate of how much you think that could be improved with further time and knowledge
- What you learned from designing this bridge.
Tools
